'Tis The Season

Here's the photos from last weekends Holiday fun. I'm late getting these up but I've fallen in the holiday bustle myself.

We hit the luminary exhibit at the arboretum Friday night. The kids had a great time running through luminaries and we enjoyed fresh hot apple cider after.

Then Saturday morning we took the kids to see a Musical Nativity production. It was great. The kids enjoyed seeing the story of Jesus' birth played out. It turned out to be a fantastic moment to stress what Christmas is really about, as I have been feeling that it gets lost in all the materialism.Saturday afternoon brought some heavy snow, which was exciting. This was the first snow this season that stuck. The only problem is that the temperatures were so low (single digits) that snow play was not much fun.
And what is Christmas without a trip to visit Santa? We took the kids on a trolley ride to see Santa. It was FREEZING! Little Sis would only sit on Santa's lap if Big Bro sat with her.

A Polar Express Trolley! Pretty cool. I noticed Lil Sis also had a pretty good grip on Big Bros hand! Sweet. Loved seeing all these pictures and the snow fun too. Thanks! Love, Mom
